6.00 per lb hanging weight for whole steer

6.15 per lb hanging weight for half steer

6.25 per lb hanging weight for a 1/4 steer

It is $6.00 per pound, which includes processing. The price is based off of "hanging weight" of the cow, which is typically 60% of the live weight. 

If the cow being butchered is 1420-pound cow, the numbers for the whole cow would be:

60% - 850 pounds hanging weight.

60% - 510 pounds for take home in meat.

A whole cow of this size is 850 pounds x 6.00 = $5100

A 1/2 (Half) beef would hang at 425 pounds x 5.95 = $2613.75

A 1/4 (Quarter) beef would hang at 212.50 and total take home would be 130 lbs of meat (this includes all cuts of meat). Total take home would be $1328.13 for this size cow. 

This is just an example of calculations not exactly the amount you will be getting. Most of the steers are between 1000 - 1300 lbs. 

Deposit must be received prior to being processed. Deposit is non-refundable (if buyer chooses to back out or cannot come up with remaining balance). Deposit will be applied to the total amount owed (example: $1,200.62 (total) - $125 = $1075 owed upon delivery.
